Ci Siamo is a contemporary Italian restaurant tucked into a cozy corner of Hell’s Kitchen, offering a dining experience that balances thoughtful Italian tradition with a modern New York vibe. The space manages to feel inviting without being noisy or cramped, making it a solid choice for relaxed dinners, casual business meals, or small group gatherings. While reservations are recommended, walk-ins have been accommodated at the bar/lounge area, which is thoughtfully arranged so guests can still share plates comfortably.

The menu leans into regional Italian influences with both familiar and less common dishes. Starters like the Caramelized Onion Torta showcase a savory-sweet blend of caramelized onions, balsamic, and pecorino, capturing a rich yet approachable flavor that lingers. The Cast Iron Focaccia and Pizza Bianca stand out as shareable bites with a satisfying crispness and balanced toppings. Main courses offer highlights such as the Rigatoni Alla Gricia and Wood Fired Whole Trout, though some diners have noted that the trout can be hit or miss. The Skirt Steak and Pork Milanese deliver hearty, well-seasoned plates that align with classic Italian comfort food.

Desserts here get particular attention, with choices like Lemon Torta, Basque Cheesecake, and Bomboloni providing a light, textural counterpoint to earlier courses. The Basque cheesecake’s smooth richness is often paired with dried apricots and a crunchy crumble, offering an elevated sweet finish. Cocktail lovers will appreciate the well-crafted drinks menu—one local praised their Negroni as exceptionally nuanced, and bartenders are known to engage guests by explaining the thought behind their flavor profiles.

Service at Ci Siamo tends to be attentive without feeling intrusive. The team, including sommeliers and servers, are keen on guiding diners through the menu and wine list, making it a good spot for those who enjoy pairing their meal thoughtfully. The atmosphere leans toward a stylish yet unpretentious setting, ideal for a relaxed evening rather than a rushed lunch, as main dishes can take a bit longer to reach the table.

Overall, Ci Siamo suits diners who appreciate nuanced, ingredient-driven Italian food in a quieter downtown setting. It's a place to settle in, savor each course slowly, and enjoy a well-curated wine or cocktail alongside. Evening visits, especially on weekdays, seem to offer the best balance of attentive service and a calm atmosphere. Whether you come with friends, a partner, or for a solo drink at the bar, the experience feels thoughtfully designed without pretense.

Such a great meal, and perhaps the best Negroni I’ve ever had in my many years and many bar of having Negronis. The bartender was even nice enough to deconstruct the whole thing so I could understand the unique flavor they created. Everything was also delicious except the wood fire trout that was so so. All the apps, and the focaccia was delicious tho!

We visited Ci siamo a few days ago and really enjoyed it! The place itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and very interesting, everything we tried was full of flavor. The only downside is that the main dishes took a bit longer to arrive, so if you’re in a rush, keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great meal. We’ll definitely be back

We tried to get a reservation but couldn't. So the five of us did a walk-in and they let us ate at the bar lounge chairs. Really can't complain about the space and they did add a small table to make space for plates. The food was quite good. Special shout out to the Ribeye. The crust was fantastic. Meat was tasty and great value. Will try to come back and get a regular table for a meal.

The Onion Tart is a MUST GET! It’s a like a savory french onion soup pie: cheesy, sweet from the caramelized onions and has a buttery flaky crust. Their cocktails and DESSERTS were also phenomenal. We got the basque cheesecake that was incredibly creamy and smooth and was served with dried apricots and this crunchy crumble. The perfect mixture of fruity sweet flavors and interesting textures. We also got their gem salad (light, refreshing) and their pork milanese (though we must come back to try their pastas!).

It was a perfect experience! Welcoming atmosphere from the host stand to our server. The sommelier helped to find the best pairings from their big wine list according to our request. Our server, Fiona M., made this evening exceptionally, how attentive and charming she is! Will definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu.

Ci Siamo was the the most pleasantly surprised I've been after a meal in recent memory. My wife and I made a last-minute 9pm dinner reservation after a long day of exploring NYC with another couple (also foodies). We saw that it was on InKind (use the referral link in my Local Guide bio to get $25 off your visit), so that was already a pull since that meant 20% cash back. The restaurant is located on the second floor and has a beautiful entrance on the East side of the Manhattan West building its located in. After taking the elevator up (which had a small bar cart with a complimentary self-serve bottle of what appeared to be Chianti), we were greeted by the host and escorted to the very comfortable sitting area. This set the tone for the evening: impeccable service. Our server, Justin, was a consummate professional. He was patient, attentive, knowledgable, and even directly asked the kitchen details about some of the dishes we had eaten simply because we were curious foodies. This was the first time in my life that I drank almost all of my (complimentary) sparkling water, and went back to pick up the glass and found it full without even registering that someone had come by and filled it. The service is *that* tight. We had the pleasure of eating at two other restaurants during our time in NYC: Crown Shy (1 Michelin Star) and Aquavit (2 Michelin Stars). Ci Siamo, Michelin-reviewed but not even given the status of Bib Gourmand, was an even better experience than 1-star Crown Shy and, depending on your cuisine preferences, on-par with 2-star Aquavit. Our group of 4 likes to dine family style, so we tried 12 items off of the menu: 4 apps, 4 mains, 4 desserts. With the exception of the smashed potatoes (which were good, but not stellar), every single item was close-your-eyes-and-smile delicious. Special mention to the complimentary treat for the table post-dessert, which was not only the first wedding cookie I've ever actually enjoyed, but one of the best cookies I've ever had, period. It was delicious, toothsome, and a perfect way to end the meal. The onion tart was sublime as many other reviews will tell you, but the true dark horse stars of the evening were the Stracci (lamb pasta) and, surprisingly, the Insalata Verde (salad). Now, I'm a skip-the-salad-and-get-to-the-good-stuff kind of eater, but I kid you not, this salad blew me away. Beautifully balanced, wonderful textures, and gorgeously fresh greens. Now, while Michelin doesn't believe so, possibly due to the lack of "innovation" in its delicious cuisine, this restaurant is a textbook 1 Michelin Star experience. The stellar Italian food was elevated even further by perfect service and enveloping atmosphere. It's plausible that our lack of Michelin-level expectations further enhanced our experience, but I really think Ci Siamo deserves more praise from the pretentious tire people.

We thought the food was good at this very hot Italian. Cod over the Trout - carrots, potatoes and the onion torta are a must. Corkage fee not bad if you want to raid your wine cellar not theirs. Prices very reasonable if you avoid the meat dishes and stick to the pasta. Service was excellent- great suggestions- ask for the waiter with the peanuts watch. Fun place to go for the night. Don’t forget to hit the free wine in the elevator up!

I had such a great experience at Ci Siamo. I was in the city for work, and my aunt from Long Island met me for dinner before I headed back to Boston. My husband had eaten here before while he was in NYC for work and told me I had to try the onion torta—he was absolutely right. Our server, Jonathan, was truly wonderful. He was so inviting and kind without being overbearing. He helped me choose dishes that worked with my dietary restrictions, and my water glass was never even close to empty before he refilled it. His overall presence was just so pleasant, and he really made us feel taken care of. The food was amazing—big compliments to Chef Hillary—and honestly the whole staff made the entire experience feel special. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’m happy to recommend Ci Siamo to anyone looking for a great dinner in NYC.
